I nominate Lilia Efimova’s “Mathemagenic” – although there are some non-research posts (about autumn leaves for example, overall it is brilliant example of a research blog where ideas, concepts and arguments are developed through shared conversations.

  16. I’m not sure exactly what a “research-based blog” is, but if Lambda the Ultimate counts as one then scale|free probably does too. I’d say it’s the “Lambda the Ultimate” for network theory geeks.
