Hi James and Josie
Congratulations on getting the awards up and running again. I have suggested for the last few years that there be a class blog award (different to ‘teacher’ and ‘group’) … and have offered to help facilitate. I haven’t been in touch recently but am wondering if you noted such an award (the kids blogs) why such a category doesnt exist in its own merit. After all isn’t that largely what we’re about? 🙂
Cheers, Al
is it too late .. and would one extra years free Edublogs Campus subscription really hurt? Not that my kids would be in the running but there is so much that is worth this recognititon .. also would act as an impetus to motivate the kids toward more effective blogging 🙂

oh, did my comment of great thanks and encouragement for all to follow the procedure above to be inclusive in nominating class blogs (quality and quantity) not get through? And on that, kids (and their teacher/s) having a go at blogging to share learning is quality. This shouldn’t be an easy category with just a few nominations and votes. So much abounds we just have to make everyone aware of it. Thanks again James. Have fun with this everyone. Cheers, Al

My trackback never made it here – http://gwegner.edublogs.org/2008/11/22/my-edublog-awards-nominations/ – so here it is so that my nominations are considered.
Although I would love to nominate my class blog, I actually think the real gold is in the learning community of student blogs attached to our class blog. We even held our Awards this week, the Blogies, in a similar format to the Eddies and the kids did a great job in their thoughtful nominations and are very proud of their sidebar badges! Somehow when talking about class blogs or nominating in this category, consider how much student voice is visible.
